Pretty and practical gifts for home and baby... hand-made in Maine.

About Us

Welcome to Mimi's Little Loveys! We are Amy and Dan, partners in life and business. We live in Central Maine with our family. Together, we love to explore farmer's markets, watch sports, cook and bake, and just hang out.

Amy started MLL after disability and chronic illness forced her to stop teaching and working with young children. She started reminiscing to time on her grandparents’ farm in rural Maine, and learning to sew with her grandmother, Grammie B. As the oldest of the 15 grandchildren, Amy witnessed the joy of presenting every new baby with something lovingly handmade, as Grammie B. skillfully made each their own quilt. Amy wanted to recreate that experience for other families. There is nothing quite like giving the gift of something handmade from the heart, and everything we sew is made as though it were a gift for our own family.

Now through Mimi's Little Loveys, we aim to provide pretty and practical gifts for home and baby. We are proud to carry on the tradition of creating unique, boutique quality gifts for you and your family to cherish. Our goal is to take the time-tested methods and skills that have been passed down, and update them with a modern twist.

Our business is small and family run. It has deeply personal, family roots, and we understand choosing items for your home, and for your baby’s nursery, are deeply personal as well. Everything at Mimi’s Little Lovey’s is sewn with great intention and love, and we hope that you see and feel that in all of our products.

*We get asked a lot, “Where does the Mimi come from?” When Amy was working as a nanny, one of her little charges was unable to fully say her name. It came out as, “Mimi,” and the nickname stuck. When searching for a business name, it seemed natural that “Mimi” it would be!
